Obituary of Gail B. Giacinto

Gail Bright Giacinto, age 77, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late John L. Giacinto Jr., passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 13, 2024 with her loving family by her side. Born in Greenwich on August 3, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Dorothy Shortell Bright.

A member of the Greenwich High School Class of 1964, Gail was a retired customer relations representative for Trans-Lux Corporation in Norwalk for 18 years before her retirement, prior to that she was the office manager at Caldor in Port Chester for many years.

Gail enjoyed crafting, sewing and was an incredible seamstress; she will fondly be remembered for making her niece's wedding gown & bridesmaid dresses, quilting, multiple costumes and keepsakes she would give to her family for special occasions. She loved reading and traveling, especially to visit her family in Florida.

Above all she was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She always gave of herself to her family. The values she taught and unconditional love she gave will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her loving daughter, Danielle Giacinto and her partner Brian McKenna, a son, Anthony Republicano, two brothers, George Bright and his wife Monica and Richard Bright and his wife Patricia, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law and many dear friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 26, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 220 Shelton Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Rye Brook, NY. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday, July 25, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
