Obituary of Anna Chiara Mennilli Jisonna

Anna Chiara Mennilli Jisonna, age 85, of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 8, 2024 with her loving family by her side. Born in Bridgeport on November 20, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Enrico Mennilli and Josephine Marsilia Mennilli. A lifelong Bridgeport resident, she was a graduate of Central High School and went on to graduate from Yale New Haven School of Medicine where she became an X-Ray Technician. She would go on to have a very successful and fulfilling career at Park City Hospital, St. Vincent's Medical Center, Robert D. Russo, M.D and Associates Radiology, and Midstate Radiology Associates LLC. She truly enjoyed her work, where she built strong relationships and considered her co-workers family. Ann loved her work so much, she never retired. Truly dedicated to the love and care of her family, Ann worked tirelessly to provide nothing but the best. She always sacrificed her own needs for that of her family. She treasured the times her family was together, creating memories to last a lifetime. Her smile would light the room when her grandchildren were by her side. The values that she taught and the unconditional love she gave will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Ann was kind and most thoughtful and went well out of her way for everyone. She was generous not only with her money, but more importantly, with her time. She was truly loved by so many, and she will be deeply missed. Ann had a passion for cooking and loved to spend her Sunday mornings making an Italian feast for family and friends. Throughout her life, she enjoyed doing all kinds of crafts, including knitting, crocheting, and making various home decor accessories. She also wouldn't turn down a trip to the casino. She is survived by her two loving children, Gina Jisonna Grosner and her husband Richard Grosner and Joseph Jisonna; her four cherished and adored grandchildren, Cristina, Jonathan and Madison Jisonna and Sydney Grosner; her brother, Daniel Mennilli; as well as nieces, cousins, and many lifelong friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 15, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Avenue, Shelton, CT. Interment will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford, CT. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday morning from 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, CT.
