Obituary of Nicola Laracca

Nicola Laracca, age 89, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 30, 2024 in the comfort of his home. He was the beloved husband of 58 years to the late Maria (Albano) Laracca. Born on October 28, 1934 in Minturno, Province of Latina, Italy, he was a son of the late Raffael and Nicolina (Conte) Laracca and was a longtime resident of Norwalk.

Mr. Laracca was a bricklayer and mason for over 40 years before his retirement. He loved tending to his yard and took great pride in his vegetable garden every summer. He enjoyed playing Bocci with family and friends, and making wine in the fall. He was very proud of his Italian Heritage and keeping up with all of his old Italian Traditions. Nicola was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his three loving sons, Ronald Laracca and his wife Karen of Trumbull, Randy Laracca and his wife Tiffiney of Commerce City, CO and Dino Laracca and his wife Cynthia of Lutz, FL, six cherished grandchildren, Adam and his wife Christine, Sara, Nicolas, Tyler, Jacob and Kyleigh, siblings, Antonio Laracca of Norwalk, Maria Brocco of Newtown, Rose Zinicola of Argentina as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Mario Laracca and Philip Laracca.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. in Christ the King Church, 4700 Madison Ave, Trumbull. Entombment will follow in St. John Cemetery, Norwalk. Friends may greet the family on Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
