Obituary of Lino Recine

Lino Recine, age 81, of Shelton, beloved husband of the late Lina Creti Recine, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home with his family by his side. Born on October 1, 1942 in Ripi, Province of Frosinone, Italy, he was a son of the late Antonio and Carolina Cervini Recine.

Lino retired from Sikorsky Aircraft after 28 years of dedicated service, where he was a brake press operator before his retirement. He was a skilled tradesman prior to Sikorsky, working in the construction fields. This is where his sons learned to not be afraid to take on challenges.

He was a soft spoken kind hearted man who shared his wealth of knowledge and lent a hand to everyone. Whether it be changing a lightbulb or building an addition he was there to help out.

Lino was a member of the Sons of Italy Club and the Sikorsky Retirement Club. A hard-working man, Lino enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. The unconditional love he gave and the values he taught will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his three loving sons, Lorenzo Recine and his wife Heather, Antonio Recine and his wife Wendy, and Michael Recine and his wife Suzan, seven cherished grandchildren, Nicholas, Anthony, Vincent and his wife Gina, Matthew, Christie, Gianluca and Micaela, four adored great grandchildren, Grayson, Kaylan, Wrenly and Rhyatt, his companion, Raphaela Palma, a brother, Vincenzo Recine, a sister, Annette Recine, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Entombment will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. in the funeral home.
