Obituary of George P. Leone

George P. Leone, age 82, of Trumbull, died Thursday, December 2, 2004 at St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on July 17, 1922, he was the son of the late Luigi and Angelina Stracquandanio Leone, and was a Trumbull resident over 30 years. A U. S. Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Leone served in the 100th Infantry Division and was proud to receive a good conduct medal as well as two bronze stars and a victory medal. He was the retired owner and operator of Urban Business Machines and a former photographer for Brignolo Photo Studios. Most recently, Mr. Leone served as the Vice President of the Residents Association at Lord Chamberlain and was a Past President and Memorial Chairperson of the 100th Infantry Division Association.

Survivors include two brothers, Michael O. Leone and Ben Leone, both of Stratford and several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews and a myriad of friends especially his new family at Lord Chamberlain. He was predeceased by a brother, Louis Leone. 

Funeral services will take place on Monday, December 6, 2004 at 9:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with full military honors will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Sunday from 3-7 p.m.
