Obituary of Bryan Robert Paul Jackson

Bryan Robert Paul Jackson, age 38, of Bridgeport passed away on Saturday, February, 24, 2024 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on April 1, 1985, he was a son of Joel and Susan (Hofmiller) Becraft, and the late Jerry P. Jackson.

Bryan was a graduate of Fairfield High School. He attended Housatonic Community College and Southern New Hampshire University where he received a bachelor degree in English and creative writing. He completed his Master of Education and Master of Arts in Teaching grades 7-12 ELA at Sacred Heart University. Bryan was an educator at Great Oaks School in Bridgeport.

In addition to his mother Susan and her husband Joel, survivors include his four loving siblings, Daniel Jackson-Smith and his husband, Jarred Jackson-Smith, Victoria (Tori) Jackson, Thomas Becraft and Melanie Becraft, a cherished nephew, Jackson Vlicky, uncles and aunts, Robert Hofmiller and his wife Cheryl, Jim Velgot and his wife Christina, James Becraft, Jeff Becraft and his wife Cherisse as well as Hazel Senterfit, Alisha Houston-Whiteside and Parrena Veney. He was also survived by his loving partner Blair Flynn, godfather Albert Smith as well as many cousins. In addition to his father Jerry, he was predeceased by his grandparents, Robert and Elaine Hofmiller and his Godmother Kathleen Smith.

Friends may greet the family on Sunday, March 3, 2024 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Everyone is invited to join the family at a graveside service on Monday, March 4th at 11:30 a.m. at Lawncroft Cemetery, 1740 Blackrock Turnpike, Fairfield.
