Bill (and Alice, his devoted wife) has been a neighbor and close friend ever since we came to Buddington Park, 20+ years ago. He was my Buddington Buddy. He was a dapper, good-looking guy. Bill may have been short in stature, but he tall in character, especially when it came to his family. We saw first hand how he and Alice were "all-in" nurturing a profound multigenerational family unit, starting with their amazing adult children, Kevin and Kate, and their respective spouses, Margie and Tom, and their children....Tight-knit and lovingly supportive, they returned the love over-and-over again. And in these past years of his up-and-down medical issues, Bill could not have received better care than he got Alice, Kevin and Kate; worthy of a fast-track to sainthood, when ready;-)
Bill was the long-term President of the small but spectacular Buddington Park Condominium. Year after year, Bill has been an unmatchable contributor to the overall operation, upkeep and well-being of the community. Not afraid to get down on his knees to repair the pool filter, or clean the storm drains, or negotiate with landscapers, and keep his own unit spotless, Bill has been "all-in" for the larger good of the community, overall.
He was always a giver, not a taker. We will deeply miss Bill and his friendship, and abundant sense of humor.

My mentor and friend Bill Collins wore his integrity and moral values on his sleeve. It was Bill’s influence and guidance that got me started in my own auto door business almost 24 years ago, instilling in me those same values. I am eternally grateful to be associated with the Collins family. I have fond memories of my lunch and dinner meetings with Bill where we would talk about business but mostly family and life with Bill telling many wonderful stories and throwing in a joke or two!!! My only regret is that I failed to stay in touch as much these last few years. My deepest sympathies to Alice and Kevin and the whole Collins family. Rest in peace my friend.

Uncle Bill was truly all about family! I remember as a kid going to Aunt Alice and Uncle Bills home and they always made you feel so Special. We would go out on the boat and they always had the best sandwiches, then we would go home to have the most amazing “Uncle Bill Burgers”. As a kid, I was nervous about jumping off the boat, he assured me it would be OK. He was Right! The days I went to visit him at the rehab with my daughter, I’ll always cherish. He had the best stories from when he was a kid. I loved listening to them. You never wanted the visit to end. He always said the door to his home was Always Open and you know he meant just that. I’ll love you forever Uncle Bill! Thank you for everything!!

Bill Collins was one of the nicest and most gracious distributors we ever had at Horton Automatics. My wife and I always enjoyed our time with Bill and Alice at company meetings as well as at their home. He will be missed by everyone that knew him. Prayers for Alice and Kevin and the rest of the family. I loved Bill and will have fond memories of him for the rest of my life.

I took care of Bill while he was at Grimes Center and fell in love with him the moment I met him. I then fell in love with the rest of his family who were there daily. He fought a tough battle and overcame many obstacles that stood in his way, he was determined to walk again, and return home to his family, which he did. I will never forget Bill and feel very fortunate to have gotten to know him and his family. He will be missed terribly. I love you Bill!!

I am blessed to have gotten to know such a beautiful family. Bill was a patient of mine for a while at the Grimes. I enjoyed my time I got to spend with him every day. His children were great and his wife Alice was wonderful to me. He is at peace now with his family up in heaven. I know he will be truly missed by all who knew him.❤️

I’m so sorry for the loss of Uncle Bill.He was always the Rock of the family.Uncle Bill will figure it out.I’m so sorry I can’t be there with you all. Some of the Best memories of Uncle Bill and Aunt Alice was Thanksgiving. They didn’t care how many tables they had to set up and it was always done beautifully.Nana was always the “Guest of Honor”.She was so loved.I loved going up to Connecticut in the summer and going on the boat all day long. After being on the boat they took us to timothy’s for ice cream where they mixed the candy into the ice cream on a slab..That was the coolest thing. When going to Uncle Bill and Aunt Alice’s ,you knew you were going to eat well!!They made burgers that were about 1/2 lb each. They were huge!To this day we still see a large burger and say it’s an Uncle Bill Burger! You will be missed and you were loved by many.We Love You

Bill and Alice have been our friends for over 20 years. They are the most kind, loving, and generous people you could ever meet. When we decided to have our wedding at Buddington Park, Bill made it his mission for everything to be beautiful on the grounds. We love them both dearly and his loss is heartbreaking. Sharon Cayer
