Obituary of Vincenza M. Mariani

Vincenza M. Mariani, age 62, of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at St. Vincent's Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Born in the Bronx, New York on September 24, 1961, she was a daughter of John Mariani of Bridgeport and the late Vincenza (Perciballi) Mariani and was a longtime resident of Bridgeport.

Vincenza was loving, caring and had a laugh you could never forget. She fought hard and was a breast cancer survivor. She enjoyed spending time with her partner Chris, singing, dancing and was never too old to stop dreaming. She had a carefree spirit, loved to journal, take trips to the casino and travel when she could. Being a mother was one of the most important parts of Vinnie's life, a role that gave her much pride and joy. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren. She loved her grandchildren more than anything, she will be deeply missed.

In addition to her father, survivors include a loving daughter, Kamie DiMartino and her fiancé Michael Merithew, a sister, Rose Micanovic and her husband William, a brother, John Mariani, Jr. and his wife Nice and four cherished grandchildren, Alivia, Gavin, Grayson and Jaxson as well as many nieces and nephews.

Friends may greet the family on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. A prayer service will take place at 6:30 pm in the funeral home. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
