Obituary of Angela J. Buonanno

Angela J. "Pooch" Buonanno, age 70, of Bridgeport, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at Northbridge Health Care Center. A lifelong resident of Bridgeport, Angela was born on October 21, 1953 and was the daughter of the late Carmine Buonanno and Mary Palma (Marrocco) Buonanno. Angela was an outstanding 6th grade English teacher for many years with a Master's degree in Education. She loved life and was also a caregiver for her parents whom she took care as they got sick. She loved her dog "Spunky" and loved the outdoors and taking long rides in her car to every park and beach in Connecticut. She was a music lover and theater goer; a connoisseur of food, a foodie and a good cook. Angela remained sharp, alert and had wherewithal to the very end. She missed her home of 60+ years greatly and now resides in the new home up above with no pain and no more suffering.

Survivors include a brother, Constantine Buonanno, a niece, Juliane Abudi and a nephew, Christopher Buonanno as well as a great nephew.

A prayer service was held on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at the Pilgrimage Mausoleum in Mountain Grove Cemetery, 2675 North Avenue, Bridgeport.
