Obituary of Richard G. Bouffard

Richard G. Bouffard, age 82, of Trumbull passed away peacefully on Monday, December 4, 2023 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Linda (Ouimette) Bouffard. Born in Central Falls, RI on October 5, 1941, he was a son of the late Achille and Anna (Pariseau) Bouffard. Richard was a proud U.S. Army Veteran, having served honorably during the Vietnam Era. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in accounting from the University of Bridgeport, before beginning his career as an accountant for various manufacturing companies over the years and building many friendships along the way. Richard was also honored to have served as a former President of the Nichols Improvement Association. He was a man of great faith with a strong Catholic upbringing. He was a true family man and happiest when spending time surrounded by them. A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend of many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his beloved wife Linda of 57 years, other survivors include his devoted children, Brian Bouffard and his wife Kim of PA, Laura Bouffard-Dooley and her husband Justin, Kristy Bouffard and David Bouffard, all of Trumbull, his cherished grandchildren, Joseph Bouffard, Michael Bouffard, Ashley Pelletier, Ryan Pelletier, Kristopher Morris, Leighann Bergan, Faith Bouffard, Wyatt Dooley, Eva Dooley and Jaxson Lewis, his adored great grandson, Everett Bergan, his brothers, Ronald, Paul and David Bouffard and sisters, Diane Figlar, Joanne Cantiello, Christine Weglinski and Maureen Sienkiewicz, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Denis Bouffard.

A celebration of Richard’s life will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. with a prayer service beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
