Obituary of Maria Ripalda Lungariello

Maria Ripalda Feola Lungariello, age 90, of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 2, 2023 with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of 67 years to the late Santo Lungariello. Born in Flumeri, Avellino, Italy on October 11, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Pasquale and Maria (Caggiano) Feola and was a longtime Bridgeport resident.

Maria was a woman of great faith and devotion who enjoyed reading prayer books and attending religious programs and sanctuaries. She was a generous person, always donating to charities for underprivileged children. Her greatest joy came from taking care of her family with her delicious cooked meals or all the crocheting and knitting she did for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Survivors include her five loving children, Maria Grazia Panfili and her husband Alberto of FL, Michael Lungariello and his wife Maria of  NY, Pasquale Lungariello of Oxford, Mario Lungariello of Flumeri, Italy and Francesca DiNota of MA, three sisters, Jenny Silano (Pietro), Erminia Feola, Giulia Feola Palmieri, three brothers, Dionisio Feola (Sandy), Enrico Feola (Connie LaValle) and Mario Feola (Carmela), 15 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephew. She was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Maria Carla Lungariello, a brother, Nicola Feola, and two sisters, Maria Grazia Guerriero and Francesca Lepore.

All are invited to attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. directly in St. Margaret Shrine, 2523 Park Ave., Bridgeport. Entombment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Chapel Mausoleum, Stratford. Friends may greet the family Wednesday, October 4 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
