Obituary of Beverly Ann Bravo

Beverly Ann Olympia Bravo, age 86, of Jupiter, FL and formerly of Fairfield, CT passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 30, 2023. She was the wife of the late Dr. Anthony J. Bravo. Beverly was born on May 9, 1937 in Newburgh, NY, a daughter of the late Peter and Edith (D’Aprile) Olympia.

Survivors include her three loving children, Stephen M. Bravo, MD and his wife Catherine Turnes-Bravo, Anthony J. Bravo Jr. and Michelle A. Bravo Ibanez; grandchildren Teresa, Maria, Anthony, Christopher, Giavanna, and Raphaella; a brother Peter M. Olympia Jr; and a sister Edith P. Bartolone and her husband Frank as well as many nieces and nephews.

Her family was the most important part of her life. Beverly enjoyed culture, teaching art in grammar school and playing the piano.  She spent many years serving on the Board of the Bridgeport Symphony Orchestra and dedicated endless hours of service to the Bridgeport Hospital Auxiliary. Her love of music, fashion, travel and antiques embodied her. She also loved to cook and garden and enjoyed spending a few months a year delighting the city of Boston with her smile and Lilly Pulitzer dresses.

All are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at 11:00 am directly at St. Pius X Church, 834 Brookside Drive, Fairfield. Entombment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Friends of the Boston Public Garden. She spent many days enjoying the beauty and serenity there.

Her kindness and warmth will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.  We will forever be grateful to her devoted caregiver Sonam who brought love, care, and true friendship during her final years.
