Obituary of Vivian Moretti

Vivian (Nespoli) Moretti, age 93, of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Mozaic Senior Life, Bridgeport. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph E. Moretti. Born in Bridgeport on June 21, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Dominic and Adeline (Pinto) Nespoli. Mrs. Moretti had worked as a loan administrator for the former CT National Bank before her retirement with many years of dedicated service.

Vivian was a faithful member of the Altar Guild and a longtime parishioner of Saint Raphael's Church and Saint Margaret's Shrine.

A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother sister, aunt and friend to many. Vivian's whole life was dedicated to her family. She will be truly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Survivors include three children, Peter Moretti and his wife Sharon of Stratford, Sandra Stramoski and her husband Paul and Marie Nowitz and her husband Jon, all of Monroe, five cherished grandchildren, Kristen Barbarotta and her husband Jayson, Courtney Dutt and her husband Brandon, and their father, James B. Stewart, Jared Moretti and his wife Lisa, P.J. Moretti and his wife Amanda and Dana Infante, eight adored great grandchildren, Nicholas and Sophia Infante, Reese Barbarotta, Kayleigh, Rowen and Hadyn Dutt, and Macallen and Piper Moretti, her sisters, Adeline Trentini of Stratford and Emily Smith of Trumbull, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her brother Patsy Nespoli.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. directly in St. Jude Church, 707 Monroe Tpke, Monroe. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may greet the family on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Margaret's Shrine, 2523 Park Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06604.
