Obituary of Evelyn Mulvihill
Evelyn (Evie) Ferrando Mulvihill, age 73, of Trumbull, beloved wife of John F. Mulvihill, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family and friends. Born in Bridgeport on April 6, 1950, she was a daughter of the late John Ferrando and Catherine Plantamura Hulse. A graduate of Trumbull High School Class of 1968, Evie went on to the Connecticut Business School. She would go on to have a successful 33-year career as a court stenographer for the State of Connecticut Judicial Branch.
Evie was a dedicated wife, mother and Nana. She treasured time spent with her family and her smile would light up a room when her grandson was by her side. Evie always enjoyed a fun time, whether she was at the casino, with her girlfriends, organizing a sing-a-long, or vacationing with her family and fifty closest friends! The unconditional love she gave and the values she taught will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. To honor her memory, make someone laugh today.
In addition to her beloved husband of 43 years, John, survivors include her two loving children Kevin Mulvihill of Milford and Catherine (Katie) Nielsen and her husband Jeffrey of Trumbull, her cherished and adored grandson, Trent Nielsen, two sisters, Edna Press (Bryan) of Trumbull and Lisa English (Thomas) of Milford. Evie was also blessed to have a uniquely close relationship with her nieces and nephews, along with their children.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Evelyn's life on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. directly in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 200 Shelton Road, Trumbull.
