Obituary of Nicola DiCocco

Nicola (Nick) DiCocco, age 87, of Trumbull, beloved husband of the late Rosa Creo DiCocco, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at St. Vincent's Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Born in Fontechiari, Province of Frosinone, Italy on December 1, 1935 he was a son of the late Antonio and Filomena DiCocco.

Nicola came to the United States in 1955 at the age of 20. He was a member of the Local Laborers Union 665 for 46 years and worked for various companies in the area. You could often find him in his yard tending to his garden and his lawn. But his greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather. The unconditional love he gave and the values he taught will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his two loving children, Phyllis Millo and her husband John of Monroe and Anthony P. DiCocco and his wife Rose Marie of Shelton, three cherished grandchildren, Nicole, Johnny and Nicholas, two brothers, Alex DiCocco and his wife Ida of Stratford and Peter DiCocco and his wife Pam of Trumbull, four sisters, Teresa DiCocco of Easton, Jean Salce and her husband Ken of Florida, Maria DiCocco of France, as well as several nieces and nephews and brothers and sisters-in-law. He was predeceased by a sister, Santina Izzi.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, July 31, 2023 10:30 a.m. in Christ the King Church, 4700 Madison Ave., Trumbull. Entombment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
