Obituary of Pasquale Caputi

Pasquale "Pat" V. Caputi, age 60, of Bridgeport passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Maefair Health Care Center with his family by his side. Born in Bridgeport on October 20, 1962, he was a son of the late James and Carmela (Brescia) Caputi and was a lifelong resident of Bridgeport.

Pat graduated from Notre Dame Catholic High School in Fairfield and Sacred Heart University. He was the property manager at Brookside Gardens in Bridgeport for over 40 years. During this time, he developed relationships and long-lasting friendships and was always there to help residents with anything they needed from pharmacy trips or grocery shopping to other important times in their lives. He was someone they could count on and trust. His work expanded to St. Andrew Academy in Bridgeport where he spent the last couple of years at the school. When Pat wasn't working, he was involved as a volunteer for decades with P.A.L., the Police Athletic League of Bridgeport where he received the Volunteer of the Year Award several times. He was a loyal and diehard fan of the New York Teams, the Rangers, Giants and Yankees. Anyone who met Pat knew that his family and friends were a very big part of his life. He was a loving son, brother, and friend and will be missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include a devoted sister, Angela Caputi Fleischer and her husband Thomas of Franklin, MA, a beloved brother, Paul Caputi and his wife Alison of Clemmons , NC and four cherished nieces, Mia & Amanda Fleischer and Jill & Jenna Caputi as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

All are invited to meet on Monday, June 26, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. directly in St. Andrew Church, 435 Anton St., Bridgeport. Entombment will follow in the St. Catherine Mausoleum at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Sunday, June 25th from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
