Obituary of Nicholas Scorza

Nicholas Scorza, age 52, beloved husband of Kelly (Sparagna) Scorza passed away peacefully on Tuesday June 6, 2023, with his loving family by his side. Born in the Bronx, New York, on May 10, 1971, he was the son of the late Domenico and Rosanne Scorza. Nick was a graduate of Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, New York. He worked as a Special Agent with CI for 23 years and ended his career as the Supervisory Special Agent. Including his IRS Civil Service, Nick had a total of 28 years dedicated to his career.

Always the life of the party, Nick was a kind, loving, and outgoing person who was always there to lend a hand to anyone in need. He loved vacations to Long Beach Island, NJ, and Rhode Island with family and friends. When choosing a summer rental, making sure there was a spot to play cornhole was always a necessity. Nick was an avid fan of the New York Yankees, Miami Dolphins, and the Italian National Soccer Team (gli "Azzurri"). In addition to this, he loved all things Superman and had an impressive collection of statues and memorabilia. One of Nick's favorite pastimes was going to the movies frequently. But above all, his greatest enjoyment in life was that of husband and father. He was dedicated to the love and care of his family. Whether at their dance recitals, helping with schoolwork, or giving advice, Nick was his daughters' biggest supporter. The memories they created and the unconditional love he gave, will forever live in their hearts. Nick will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his beloved wife, Kelly, of 23 years, he is survived by loving daughters, Victoria, Amanda, Gabriella and his adored dog, Raven; his sister, Terry and her husband Frank Spadaccini; father and mother-in-law, Pasquale and Victoria Sparagna; brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank Sparagna and his wife Malee, Patrick Sparagna, and Toni Ginty and her husband Tom. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Marc and Paul Spadaccini, Vanessa and Francesca Sparagana, and Nicholas Ginty. As well as his Aunt Joan Via and many loved cousins and dear friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 12, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. directly in St. Jude Church, 707 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe. Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Sunday, June 11, 2023 from 1 - 4 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, P.O. Box 414238 Boston, MA 02241-4238, https://give.themmrf.org.
