To all the D’Ostilio families. Uncle Tony was much loved, respected and thought kindly of by Dominick and Emma’s Ledbetter families of cousins. We send our sincere condolences and sympathies. UT left his mark on us, as that of our dear departed Uncle Dominick. To us cousins living in the south, they both provided perspectives and insights that we might not have had if not for their influence. Rest in peace and soar among the heavens sweet Uncle Tony. And thank you for your service.

So very sorry for your loss. I had wonderful conversations with Mr. D’Ostilio when he would visit Heather and family in Williamsburg. He was a truly delightful man. He will be missed. Denise Farr

Tony was a fine gentleman to all. He made the most beautiful Native American head dress for our son many years ago. He was a good friend and cousin to our family and always had a good story to tell.

My name is Glenn Chizmazia. My father, John Chizmazia, worked with your father. Everyone knew my father as Greenie. When I was 9 I was delivering papers on my bike and was hit by a truck and fractured my skull. While I was in the hospital your father sent me letters and drawings as Tony the Bum. I loved them so much and I still have a color drawing he did. What a kind sweet man. I will keep him in my prayers.

Glenn, my brother Mike and I were just talking about your father “Greenie” the other day. Dad really enjoyed his friendship with your dad. I didn’t know that you were the boy hit by a truck but I do recall Dad telling my mother about the incident. He was so upset. Thanks for sharing about Tony the Bum’s correspondence. I am so grateful to hear this.

I pray that all of you feel God's presence, have comfort & peace knowing that on May 23rd sweet Uncle Tony broke his bonds with his weary 101 year old body & is now forever free, reunited with family & friends that passed before him into God's Kingdom of Eternal Light & Love. All of us were blessed to have had Uncle Tony in our life, a man of infinite kindness, imagination, creativity & intelligence. I have so many beautiful memories of UT, the list is endless. I cherish all these memories of my favorite Uncle whose spirit for life was so palpable. As always & forever more I will hold a special place in my heart for my sweet Uncle Tony. I am so glad I was able to visit with him on Friday May 12th & talk on the phone with him Wednesday May 17th. UT was not only my favorite Uncle but also my hero. He helped fill my life with love, gave so much for our country and the freedoms we must never take for granted. With love and hugs cousin Jane

Dear Angie, Betty, Mike and all the family,
Your dad will be missed by so many people. He was kind, generous and was a great storyteller and card player. I loved to sit and talk with him. I could listen to his stories for hours. He taught me to play several different card games. He will always be remembered as a great patriot and all around great guy. Love and prayers Kathy and Dave Miccinello
