Obituary of Maria Behn

Maria Eppich Behn, age 98, of Midway Park, NC and formerly of Trumbull, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Crystal Coast Hospice in NC. She was the beloved wife of 53 years to the late Russell J. Behn. Born in Austria on April 14, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Maria Eppich.

Maria worked at Brian Electric of Bridgeport with many years of dedicated service before her retirement. She and Russell lived in Trumbull for many years and were longtime parishioners of St. Theresa Church. Maria was a religious woman of great faith and was devoted to her husband. She enjoyed spending time with all her nieces and nephews and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include nieces and nephews, Viola, Dena and Joseph Powers, Robert Behn, Catherine Marro (Nick), Michael, Richard, David & Thomas Behn, Reatha Sorenson, Lori Christian, Dennis Vey. She was predeceased by brothers, Frank, Joseph and John, nephew, James Vey and nieces, Tina Hughes and Lila Dambaugh.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull followed by burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
