Obituary of Albertina Vicencio Moreira

Albertina Vicencio Moreira, age 80, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of Alberto Moreira, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 6, 2023, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Pedrario, Portugal on January 13, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Joao and Maria Vicencio.

She came to the United States in 1972 with her family and settled in Bridgeport. Albertina was a retired employee of Acme United Corporation. She enjoyed gardening, baking, and making homemade Portuguese dishes. Albertina was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She always put the needs of her family before her own. The unconditional love she gave and the values she taught will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her beloved husband of 61 years, Alberto, survivors include her two loving children, Maria Dos Santos and her husband Carlos Manuel and Fernando Moreira and his wife Jennifer all of Bridgeport, three cherished grandchildren, Jessica Dos Santos and Nicholas and Taylor Moreira, a brother Anibal Vicencio and his wife Ana Maria of Trumbull, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Norberto Vicencio and a granddaughter, Vanessa Dos Santos.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 11th, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 429 Huntington Rd., Bridgeport. Entombment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. Relatives and friends can greet the family on Monday from 4 – 7 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
