Obituary of Janet Louise Pagano

Janet Louise (Pontz) Pagano, age 78, of Easton, beloved wife of Edmond Pagano, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 9, 1945 in Holyoke, MA, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Norma Pontz. Janet first earned her R.N. from Norwalk Hospital School of Nursing. She further went on to obtain her M.S. in Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport. She also taught Nutrition at Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, CT. Built in 1985, Janet was the co-owner of the Tennis Club of Trumbull, where she also served as Fitness Manager until retiring, building many friendships along the way.

At home she enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Easton Garden Club. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend of many. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her beloved husband Ed of 52 years, other survivors include her three loving sons, Jason, John and Jordan along with their wives, Orsi and Leanne, three cherished grandchildren, Charlotte, Eliza and Oliver. Janet is also survived by her sister, Jennifer, and five brothers, Rick, Russell, Joel, Randy and Bob, as well as several nieces, nephews and many close friends. She was predeceased by brothers, James and Jeff.

Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday, April 7, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. A Gathering where friends can share memories will take place on Saturday, April 8 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. A funeral procession will follow to Mountain Grove Cemetery of Easton for Burial.
