Obituary of Donald W. DiGennaro

Donald W. DiGennaro, age 86, of Trumbull, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at the Watermark. He was the beloved husband of 58 years to the late Theresa Colucci DiGennaro. Born in Bridgeport on December 3, 1936, he was a son of the late Felice and Carmella (Pelicia) DiGennaro and was a longtime resident of Trumbull.

Donald taught science in the the Westport Public School System for virtually his entire career. He was also an avid gardener and cook with a special love for Italy and Italian food. But, perhaps Donald will best be remembered for his love and devotion to his family.

Survivors include his two loving children, Philip DiGennaro and his wife Dana Maiocco, Donna Pavitt and her husband David, his five cherished grandchildren, Philip DiGennaro (Sarah), Michael DiGennaro (Kristyn), James DiGennaro, Joseph DiGennaro, Emly Pavitt and his great grandson Donovan DiGennaro, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Leonard DiGennaro and his two brothers, Philip R. DiGennaro and Anthony DiGennaro.

Funeral services were held privately. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
