Obituary of Annette Pizzuto

Annette Dercole Pizzuto, age 100, of Shelton, beloved wife of the late Samuel N. Pizzuto, died on Thursday, March 23, 2023, in Bishop Wicke Health Center. Born in Bridgeport on February 10, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Amilo and Jean Gatti Dercole.

Mrs. Pizzuto worked for many years as an elementary school secretary for the Stratford School System. Her love for others and her devoted faith allowed her to reach out and touch so many in her life. Survivors include her daughter, Jeanmarie Jelenik and her husband Robert of Oxford, her beloved granddaughter, Christina Kelley and her husband Casey, a great granddaughter, Callahan and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was pre-deceased by her son, Salvatore Pizzuto Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Margaret Mary Church, Shelton. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Stratford. Friends can greet the family Wednesday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull
