Obituary of William H. Marsilio Sr.

William H. Marsilio Sr., age 80, of Monroe, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 24, 2023 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving and devoted family. Born in Bridgeport on August 18, 1942, he was a son of the late Angelo and Dorothy Brelsford Marsilio.

A heavy machine operator by trade, Bill was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 478.

A friend of Bill W., he knew the importance of being a role model and supporting someone in their time of need. He was a person who was there to help anyone in need at any time. Never judging but supporting.

Above all things in life, he was a loving and dedicated father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He cherished time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed picking them up from school, attending their sporting events and watching them grow. The memories they created and the unconditional love he gave will forever live in their hearts. Bill will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his five loving children, William Marsilio Jr. of Derby, Richard Marsilio (Cara) of Shelton, Nicole Morgenthaler (Al) of Monroe, David Marsilio (Alla) of Tampa, FL and Amanda Dube (Jason) of Monroe, nine cherished grandchildren, Jamie, Anthony, Andrew, Samantha, Danielle, Al, Victoria, Abigail and Mileena, two adored great grandchildren, Michael and Kamden, as well as several nieces, nephews and many friends. He was predeceased by two brothers James and Joseph Marsilio and a sister Phyllis Marsilio.

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will be held privately. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
