Obituary of Amy L. Hanson

Amy L. (Fenick) Hanson, age 61, of Loudon, NH and formerly of Trumbull, CT, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA. She was the beloved wife of Brian W. Hanson and the daughter of Thomas and Mary Lou (Virelli) Fenick of Trumbull.

Born in Bridgeport on October 1, 1961, Amy was a proud graduate of Notre Dame High School in Fairfield before pursuing a career as a highly regarded dental ceramist in Connecticut and New Hampshire. Amy had an artist's spirit. From playing the flute, quilting, drawing, and painting, Amy loved to express herself and show her care towards others through her many talents. She also had a passion for fitness, being actively involved in weight training and martial arts for many years. Amy was known for her superb cooking skills. Her sauce and meatballs and unique meatloaf recipes were some favorites among her friends and family. She was also a talented baker and made numerous elaborately decorated (and delicious) cakes over the years. Amy had a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh. She could make friends in a moment and keep them for a lifetime. As a member of Christ the King Church in New Hampshire, she was a woman of great faith and would to give and help everyone she cared about. A loving and devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend of many, she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents and beloved husband Brian of 28 years, survivors include her loving daughters, Stephanie Keryc and her husband William, Kimberly Verrastro and her husband Kristopher, Megan Tracy and her husband Dustin, and Sadie Irving and her husband Joseph, her cherished grandchildren, Dillon Tracy and Peyton and Wyatt Irving, and her brothers, Paul Fenick, David Fenick and his wife Danielle and James Fenick as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 3, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Stephen Church, 6948 Main St., Trumbull. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Friends may greet the family on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
