Obituary of Veronica Grisell

Veronica Horvath Grisell, age 91, of Stratford passed away peacefully on Friday, February 17, 2023 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late William T. Grisell, Jr. Born in Bridgeport on January 17, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Bynak) Horvath and was a life long resident of Stratford.

Before her retirement, Veronica was an executive secretary at Sikorsky Aircraft with over 32 years of dedicated service. She was a lifetime member of the East End Yacht Club Ladies Auxiliary and a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Grace Church in Stratford. She was a loving wife and a great mom who enjoyed entertaining family and friends at home and everyone who knew her, loved her. The family would like to thank the Visiting Angels and Masonicare for all their compassion and care.

Survivors include her devoted daughter, Gail Gibbons and her husband Harry and her beloved life partner and best friend of 20 years, Roy Aichelman. She was also survived by Roy's children and grandchildren, Barbara Aichelman, Michael Aichelman and his wife Julie, Robert Aichelman and his wife Tina and Hannah, Jay, Craig and Cailyn and her nieces and nephews, Sara and Vinny Rosso, Brian Grisell and Keith Grisell.

Friends may greet the family on Friday, February 24, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. All are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial directly at Our Lady of Grace Church, 497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford, on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
