Obituary of Janet Anne Reinisch
Janet Anne (Meyer) Reinisch, age 84, of Shelton, CT and formerly of New Rochelle, NY passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at Griffin Hospital in Derby. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert R. Reinisch, Sr. Born in Brooklyn, NY on June 18, 1938, she was the daughter of the late William and Anna (Kramer) Meyer. Janet loved to love on people. She loved giving hugs and kisses. She enjoyed telling stories in a beautiful Long Island accent. She was a sweetheart to all those around her and made many friends at The Wartburg (adult day care). Janet enjoyed watching her shows on MeTV and TVLand and arguing with the actors/ actresses like they could hear her. She was a lifetime member of the Catholic Kolping Society. Janet would say her biggest accomplishment was raising her “miracle baby” Bobby. Despite being legally blind her entire life, she worked through the challenges and overwhelmed her son with lots of love.
She is survived by her loving son, Robert R. Reinisch, Jr. and his wife Jenifer of Shelton, her cherished grandchildren, William, Riley, Phoebe and Avery Reinisch, whom she loved watching grow and enjoyed their laughs and snuggles, as well as several nephews. In addition to her beloved husband, Robert Sr., she was also predeceased by her brother, William Meyer.
