Obituary of Ljeze Ndou

Ljeze Ndou, age 68, found peace on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at St. Vincent's Medical Center with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Zymer Ndou and mother of Rozmary Ndou. Born in Ulcinj, Montenegro on November 4, 1954, Ljeze was a daughter of the late Rrok Gjoni Selcanin and Pashka Lutaj Selcanin. She was a longtime resident of Bridgeport.

A woman of great faith, Ljeze could often be found attending St. Vincent's chapel every morning after a twelve-hour night shift.

Ljeze was a caretaker. She cared for her sick parents, including her father, for many years before he passed. She cared for her family, and showed this, by working nights to be able to show up for them all day every day. She cared for patients at St. Vincent Medical Center as a nurse's aide for eighteen years. She cared for family, coworkers, and friends alike by always providing coffee, a home-cooked meal, or knitting them scarves and hats.

In addition to her beloved husband Zymer of 39 years, survivors include a loving daughter, Rozmary Ndou, a brother, Nikolla Selcanin and sisters, Angie Ljultasi and Mrika Shkreli as well as many nieces and nephews.

Ljeze's family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and entire teams at Smilow Cancer Hospital and St. Vincent Medical Center. They would especially like to thank Ljeze's long-time oncologist Dr. David Witt, MD.

All are invited to meet directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull on Monday, December 5, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Sunday, December, 4th from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
