Obituary of Harold E. Jones Esq.

Harold E. Jones Esq., age 84, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Sonia Maria Cruz Jones, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 24, 2022 with his loving family by his side. Born on January 15, 1938 in Darien, Georgia, he was the youngest son of the late Sandy and Florien West Jones. Harold earned his master's degree from Hunter College and his Law Degree from CUNY School of Law at Queens College. After working as a lab technician for many years he became a practicing attorney for 25 years. As an attorney, he was an advocate and voice for the parents and families of New York and worked endlessly in the Bronx Family Court System.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed time spent with family and the unconditional love he gave and the strong values he taught will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his beloved wife of 56 years, Sonia Maria Cruz-Jones, survivors include his three loving children, Lenya Maria Jones Wilson and her husband Shane Rodney Wilson, Leyvan M. Jones and Leylan Jones and his wife Eva Person-Jones, nine cherished grandchildren, Kadeem, Malcolm Mosiah, Jahshua, Elijah, Monica, Mikai, Leyvan II, Elyan Harold and Neyla, three siblings, Alberta (Wink) Mabry, James (Bubba) Jones and Margaret Roberts, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his oldest sister Mary Jane Wright.

Funeral Services will take place on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Saturday afternoon from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
