Obituary of Carolyn M. DeLuca

Carolyn M. Borchetta DeLuca, age 94, of Shelton, beloved wife of the late Attilio DeLuca, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 15, 2022 with her loving family by her side. Born in Greenwich on October 13, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Grace Ponger Borchetta. Carolyn retired as a field director from DeKadt Marketing and Research, where she worked for many years.

Carolyn was a kind, loving and generous person, whose door was always open to guests. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed a good card game. But above all, her love for her family came first. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was at her best when surrounded by family. The unconditional love she gave and the values she taught will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her three loving children, Valerie Forshaw and her husband Lee, Carole Davis and her husband Keith and Ralph DeLuca and his wife Heidi, five cherished grandchildren, David Forshaw and his wife Stephanie, Luke Forshaw and his wife Micaela and Jake DeLuca and his wife Victoria, Brett DeLuca and his wife Tess and Claire DeLuca, four adored great grandchildren, Mercer, Colette, Grace and Reed as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law, Ralph Jr. and Grace Borchetta.

Funeral Services will take place on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. directly in St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, 4670 Congress St., Fairfield.
