Obituary of John J. LaChioma

Owner and Operator of Metro Construction John J. LaChioma Sr., age 82, of Trumbull, retired owner and operator of Metro Construction Co., died on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 in Maefair Health Care Center. Born in Bridgeport on September 11, 1926, he was a son of the late Fred and Susan LaConte LaChioma and a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a past member of the Zoning Board of Appeals for the City of Bridgeport. Survivors include his wife of 60 years Louise Mercaldi LaChioma, four children, Fred LaChioma and his wife Heidi of Monroe, Michael LaChioma and his wife Cathi of Trumbull, John LaChioma Jr. and his wife Jackie of Derby and Ginny Biedermann and her husband Erich of Trumbull, a sister Addy Vazzano of Trumbull, five grandchildren Kelly, Tyler, J.P., Jay and Nikole, two great grandchildren, J.J. and Sadie Jo as well as numerous devoted cousins, nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the caregivers at Maefair Health Care Center as well as Drs. Rastogi and Berman and their staff. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Monday, May 11, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Andrew Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Easton.
