Obituary of Robert J. Trovarelli

Robert J. Trovarelli, age 88, of Stratford passed away peacefully on Friday, July 22, 2022 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Antoinette Montini Trovarelli. Born in Bridgeport on June 8, 1934, he was a son of the late Saverio “Sam” and Helen (Gmitter) Trovarelli. Bob was proud to have served his country honorably in the United States Army and later went on to become a postal carrier for many years until his retirement. He loved watching the UCONN women’s basketball, playing the lottery and tending to his birdbath and flowers in his garden. Bob was a very social guy and looked forward to weekly breakfast and lunch with his friends and family. He will be remembered best for always having a smile on his face. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, poppy, brother, uncle and friend of many. His genuine kindness and sincerity will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his beloved wife Antoinette of 65 years, other survivors include his two loving daughters, Diana Lello and her husband Michael of Shelton and Lynnmarie Schwarz and her husband Gary of Orange, two brothers, Joseph J. Trovarelli, Sr. of Bridgeport and John Trovarelli of Derby, three cherished grandchildren, Michael & Samantha Lello of Shelton and Rachel Farrell of Meriden, his sister-in-law, Patricia McCarthy of Bridgeport, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Frances Briganti.
