Iolanda Lunghi Mollica, age 87, of Bridgeport, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2022 at Ludlowe Center for Health & Rehabilitation with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Donato Mollica. Born in Ripi, Province of Frosinone, Italy on November 19, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Carmine and Rosalina (Sementilli) Lunghi.

Iolanda immigrated to Canada in 1957 and the United States in 1970, and was a long-time resident of Bridgeport, CT. She and her husband owned and operated Mamma Mia’s Italian Imports at the Five Corners for many years. She loved to cook for family and friends and was kneading dough for her renowned ciambelle and gnocchi until very recently. She also maintained her vegetable garden, despite the protests of her loved ones. Above all, she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her love and memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her loving children, a daughter, Gina Testani and her husband Domenico of Trumbull, a son, Paul Mollica and his wife Julia of Shelton; seven cherished grandchildren, Stephanie and Francesca Arduini, Sandra Testani Willcox and her husband Andrew, Lisa and Jaclyn Testani, Daniel Mollica and his partner Gavi Mosquera, and Alexa Mollica; two great granddaughters, Evelyn Willcox and Ava Mollica; as well as several nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law of the United States, Canada and Italy. She was predeceased by a daughter, Angela Arduini, and a brother, Dario Lunghi of Ripi, Italy.

Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday, July 14, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
