Obituary of Sandra Maria Figueiredo
Sandra Maria Zangrilli Figueiredo, age 56, beloved wife of Manuel "Louie" Figueiredo of Monroe, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at Bridgeport Hospital with her family by her side. Born on September 16, 1965 in San Paulo, Brazil, she was a daughter of the late Giovanni Zangrilli and Teresa Ferreira Zangrilli and was a longtime resident of Monroe.
Sandra came to the United States from Brazil, along with her family, in 1972 and entered school to complete her education. She worked for Hoffman Energy from 2008 until 2021 as a retention representative and then more recently as an inside sales representative, which she also did for their sister company Petro. Although she worked for many years when she had a family, she became a great mother. She loved taking care of her children and always tending to her nieces and nephews. She was the one to figure out which new toy to get or to put together a bike and could always be found playing with all the kids. Sandra's life revolved around family, she was a great party planner and enjoyed cooking and entertaining, especially on the holidays. She started every day talking on the phone with sister for hours. She also played coed baseball all her life, and was the pitcher on every league. Although family was important to her, some of her fondest memories where from spending time and going out with "The Girls". She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. All of those memories will be cherished in the hearts of all the people she touched. We will hold you in our hearts until we can hold you in heaven.
In addition to her beloved husband Louie of 37 years, survivors include two loving children, Justin Figueiredo and Alexis Figueiredo, three sisters, Sonia Pedreira, Cristina Rosenbaum and her husband Martin and Silvana Rodrigues, eight nieces and nephews, Jonathan Rodrigues, Louis Pedreira, Brandon Pedreira, Eric Rosenbaum, Adam Rosenbaum, Samantha Rosenbaum, Maria Figueiredo and Kaylee Figueiredo as well as many great nieces and great nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She also leaves her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Antonio and Lucilia Figueiredo and a brother-in-law, Julio Figueiredo. She was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Louis Pedreira.
