Obituary of Annette M. Gaboury

Annette Mary Verrilli Gaboury, age 84, a lifelong resident of Bridgeport and the beloved wife of the late Robert W. (Bert) Gaboury, Sr., entered peacefully into eternal rest on Monday, June 13, 2022 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport on September 22, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Mario A. and Jennie Anna Rappa Verrilli.

Annette was tremendously proud of her ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren "with one on the way" she would always add recently. An avid reader, she was remarkable at trivia and word games, which she played online with her grandkids and sometimes even let them win. She summered for over forty years at the family's cottage on Fairfield Beach, and always enjoyed and was devoted to her large, multi-generation, extended family, especially around the holidays. Family was always at the center of her life. Hers was a life well lived.

Survivors include her four loving children, Mario T. Gaboury and his wife, Kelly of Old Saybrook, Robert W. Gaboury, Jr. and his wife, Sharon of Anthem, AZ, Lorette Gaboury Massa and her husband, Rich of Fairfield, and Richard M. Gaboury and his wife, Bonnie of Mashpee, MA, eight cherished grandchildren, Anna, Peter, Bretton, Amanda, Robert, Jennifer, Matthew and Kyle, three great grandchildren, Brynn, Bryce and Luke, a brother, Daniel Verrilli and his wife Maureen, a sister, Donna Shedlock and her husband George, as well as several nieces and nephews and other family members. She was predeceased by two grandchildren, her much beloved Lauren and Ryan, and also by her very special Aunt Gina.

Funeral services will be private for the immediate family, as was requested by Annette. Entombment will be in the Pilgrimage Columbarium at Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
