He was such a good man. I’ll forever miss our rides to CCD and Grandpa playing the oldies. Watching the Munsters, Beverly Hillbillies, and Abbott & Costello together. Rem always under his feet and him saying “What’s this dog doin’?” and laughing. Sunday morning bagels and peppers&eggs. Listening to his Navy stories. Taking me to the used book store to get some more Stephen King books. I knew he always had my back when he threatened another kid for making fun of me on the bus. I could always count on him to be there whenever I needed him. I’d give anything for just one more breakfast at the diner together.
“A grandparent is a little bit parent, a little bit teacher, and a little bit best friend.”
I’ll miss my best friend. Love you forever, Gramps.
…until we meet again ❤️

Aww, Dawn, Taylor and Rachel: Looking through the pictures have brought tears to my eyes. I know you will miss your dad and grandpa, but keep his memories close. So sorry, to hear of your dads passing. You were so lucky to have him help you with the girls when they were little. May he RIP.
Love,
The Hongo Family

Our Condolences to Dawn, Taylor and Rachel. Your Dad/Gramps not only served his country In two branches but also the citizens of Bridgeport. Poppy and him are probably talking away about current times. After they finish talking I'm sure my mom will join them playing the slots in Heaven!
