Obituary of Vincent F. Tufaro

Vincent F. Tufaro, age 79, of Summerville, SC and formerly of Trumbull, CT, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Giovanna (Ruotolo) Tufaro. Born in Caserta, Italy on July 15, 1942 he was a son of the late Anthony and Josephine (Tartaglia) Tufaro. Mr. Tufaro had worked as a butcher for many years before his retirement. Where he spent most of his time, in the garden, making wine and spending time at his home in Florida, and above all he loved being surrounded by his beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was truly loved by every person that crossed his path and will be missed immensely.

Survivors include his loving children, Anthony Tufaro and his wife Cathy of Palm Beach, Fl, Josephine Hanrahan and her husband James of Summerville, SC, Pasquale Tufaro and his wife Laura of Derby, CT, nine cherished grandchildren, Vincent Tufaro and his wife Amanda of Savannah, GA, Sergeant First Class Matthew Tufaro and his wife Krystin of Columbia, SC Alyssa Gonzalez-Rivera and her husband Staff Sergeant Rafael of Camden, DE. Nicole Tufaro of Shelton, CT, Isabella Tufaro of Derby, CT, Juliana Christina, Mitchell and Michaela Hanrahan of Summerville, SC, six adored great grandchildren, Lillian, Maxwell and Ellie Tufaro, Christopher and Nicolas Tufaro, and Gabriel GonzalezRivera, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife Giovanna, he was also predeceased by his son, Angelo Tufaro.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. directly in St. Margaret Shrine, 2523 Park Ave., Bridgeport. Entombment will follow in the St. Monica Mausoleum at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Friday, April 1, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
