Obituary of Arlene E. Rodko
Arlene E. Notaro Rodko, age 83, devoted wife of John M. Rodko Sr., for 63 wonderful years, unexpectedly entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 18, 2022. Born on July 19, 1938, in Hazelton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Nancy Santa Cruz Notaro. Arlene graduated in 1956 from McAdoo High School. She is a retired Customer Service Representative of People's United Bank; where she was employed for 25 years. She was also a former employee of W.T. Grant Co. in the credit office for 13 years. Arlene was a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She cherished her family and loved to cook and bake for them. Arlene also enjoyed her trips to the casino.
In addition to her devoted husband John, survivors include her beloved daughter, Pamela Lynn Stoll and her husband Michael, her three precious and loved grandchildren. Her two grandsons David Tyler and Matthew Ryan (his girlfriend Natalia) and her cherished granddaughter Stephanie Lynn. Also left to cherish her memory is her sister, Marie Prete, brother Peter Notaro and his wife Dorothy, and sister-in-law, Annelies Notaro, as well as several special nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great, great nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her loving son John M. Rodko Jr., sisters, Jennie Zuber, Sallie Dougherty, Nancy Mulik and her brother Joseph Notaro.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 25, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Name of Jesus Church, 1950 Barnum Ave., Stratford. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday, March 24, 2022 from 5-7 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
