Obituary of Michael Kudravy

Michael Kudravy, age 89, of Trumbull, passed gently in the hands of the Lord on Saturday, January 1, 2011 with his three children by his side. He was the devoted and beloved husband of the late Anna Rabik Kudravy and son of the late Michael and Anna Kudravy. He was born in Steubenville, Ohio on August 18, 1921. A longtime resident of CT, Mike worked in construction building homes in Fairfield County before his retirement. After retiring his passion was spending time with his sons helping them build homes. Mike was extremely proud of all his children and grandchildren. He was a genuine, loyal family man. His fondness for working in his home and yard as well as his warm, friendly smile for all he knew, will always be remembered.

Survivors include two loving sons, Michael and Mark who he loved more than words can express, his loving daughter Michele, three grandchildren, Michael, Kristen and Casey, two sisters Helen and Olga, both of Czechoslovakia, his brothers-in-law, Louis Santiko, George Robik, a sister-in-law Helen Holsworth as well as many nieces and nephews and his loyal furry companion, Mikey. He was pre-deceased by his sister, Anna Kudravy, brother, John Kudravy, brother-in-law, Theodore Holsworth and a great nephew, Jason Kudravy. 

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 10:00 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, 364 Mill Hill Ave., Bridgeport. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. Panachida services will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the funeral home.
