Obituary of James Longo
James Longo, age 91, longtime resident of West Haven since 1958 passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Milford Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Rosa (Flamini) Longo. Born in Woodbridge on March 7, 1930 he was a son of the late Augustine and Amelia Longo. James was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army having served honorably during the Korean War. He later worked a long career as a truck driver and was a dedicated member of the Local Unions 443, 191 and 1150, where he built many lasting friendships. A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend of many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Jim loved to golf, go clamming, baseball and fishing.
In addition to his beloved wife Rosa of 7 years, he is also survived by an extended family of children, stepchildren and their families.
Friends may greet the family on Friday, March 4, 2022 from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Peace Church, Stratford.
Entombment will follow in the Garden Mausoleum of St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford.
