Obituary of Philomena Monaco

Philomena Monaco, 83, of Bridgeport, Connecticut, entered into eternal rest Thursday, February 3, 2022. She was the wife of the late Renaldo Monaco Sr. She was born in Stamford, Connecticut, on April 22, 1938, the only child of Matthew and Philomena Salvino Adiletta. Her endearing personality and concern for others will be missed. Our mom loved being surrounded by family and baking for them at any occasion. She loved flowers, drawing, crossword puzzles and playing cards, as well as, creating her own unique crocheted gifts, and giving them to others. She loved many pretty things like her angel ornaments, her favorite angel bracelet, and her four cats. Dancing was one of her favorite pastimes with her late husband, Renaldo. In high school they were voted "Best Dancers"! Our mom and Dad met up with each other while he was giving her accordion lessons. She loved to sing and two of her favorite songs were, "Because of You" and "Let Me Call You Sweetheart". She had a beautiful singing voice. She loved to sing when our dad played his accordion while sitting around the family table. Our mom peacefully went to be with the Lord while listening to the song, "Let Me Call You Sweetheart". Her last breath here was her first breath in Heaven. I can only imagine her now singing and dancing with our Dad. She is survived by her six children, twelve grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. There will be a private family celebration of life service at a later date.
