Obituary of Rose Albani

Rose Albani (Tippy), age 85, of Monroe passed away peacefully on Friday, February 4, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Frank Albani. Born in Bridgeport on December 10, 1936 she was a daughter of the late Paul and Carrie (Tranquillo) Timpanelli, Sr. Rose had worked as a cook for many years at her daughter’s restaurant, Tartaglia’s, formerly of Bridgeport and Derby, where she met many cherished lifelong friends. She loved to take frequent trips to the casino with her family and friends and was famous for dancing with her husband. She also enjoyed treating herself to an Absolute on the rocks in a martini glass with lots of olives. Her greatest enjoyment however was found in the time she spent surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom she absolutely adored. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend of many. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her beloved husband Frank (affectionately referred to as “asshole”) of 63 years, other survivors include her loving children, Mark Albani and his wife Sandy of Indian Trail, NC, Karen Quaranta and her husband Izzy of Monroe, her cherished grandchildren, Alana Ribas and her husband John, Lindsay Perkins and her husband Dustin, Brittany Provenzano and her husband Nick, Abbey Albani and her fiance Larry Coleman and Joey Albani, her adored great grandchildren, Shyla Cavanaugh, Nicholas Provenzano, Cooper Perkins, Santino Provenzano, Ryder Perkins, Jack Ribas and Emerson Perkins, her brother, Paul Timpanelli, Jr. and his wife Carol of Trumbull, her sister-in-law, Marie Timpanelli of Fairfield and brothers-in-law, John Licitra of Stratford and Joe Arlio of New Jersey, her former son-in-law, Joe Tartaglia (Kristina), and former daughter-in-law, Angela Stonaha (Mike), as well as several loving nieces and nephews.  She also leaves behind her best friend Cammie Savoie and Elaine Hammond, who was thought of like a daughter. She was predeceased by her son, David Albani, her brother, Carmine Timpanelli and her sisters, Carol Licitra and Mary Ann Arlio.

The family would like to extend a very sincere thank you to Vitas Hospice, especially her nurse Leah and social worker Amanda for their care and compassion that they extended to Rose and the entire family during this difficult time.
