Obituary of Leroy S. Shaw

Leroy Shakes Shaw, age 70, of Trumbull, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 3, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Bridgeport on April 2, 1951, he was a son of the late Osbourne and Elma Shakes Shaw. A proud U. S. Army Veteran, he volunteered for the Vietnam War at the age of 17 and later became a self-employed truck driver.

Survivors include his two loving sons, David Shaw of Trumbull and Michael Shaw and his wife Michele of Seymour, a cherished and adored grandson, Michael Shaw, a brother, Sydney V. Shaw and his wife Jeanine, as well as several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his dear friends, Patricia Anthony, her husband Bob and Cathy Shaw. He was predeceased by a sister, Lilieth Shaw.

Relatives and friends may greet the family at a walk-through visitation on Wednesday from 4 -7 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. A Funeral Home Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Masks and social distancing are required for all services.
