Obituary of Jeanette Vetro

Jeanette Carlo Vetro, age 80, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Matthew Vetro, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 14, 2022 in Boca Raton, Florida. Born in New York, New York on September 30, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Concetta Orlando Carlo.

Jeanette truly loved spending her time in Boca Raton, FL and was at her happiest looking out at the ocean and on the golf course. She was a Member of the Mill River Country Club for over 45years and the Boca Raton Resort and Club; where she formed many lifelong friendships. Jeanette published her own book entitled, Behind the Tears -: I Can See The Light, which was a collection of poems and thoughts.

Jeanette was an extremely courageous, brave, kind and loving person; she always gave of herself to help others. She volunteered in her earlier years for the Rape Crisis Hotline, Hospice and was a volunteer EMT for both Trumbull and Stratford.

But above all her roles and accomplishments in life none was greater than that of wife, mother and grandmother. She was the pillar of strength that everyone looked up to especially her children and grandchildren. Her smile lit up a room when they were all together. The unconditional love she gave and the values she taught will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed.

Jeanette is survived by her three loving daughters, Victoria Vetro of Trumbull, Armonda Vetro of Florida and Gina Falco and her husband Jeffrey of Trumbull, four cherished and adored grandchildren, Matthew and Brooke Christopher and Anthony and Sophia Falco, a brother, Frank Carlo, a sister, Dell Reed, sisters-in-law, Vera Boyle and Rose Sampieri and her husband Philip all of Monroe, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Fran Mason.

Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial.
