Obituary of Michael A. Frascatore Jr.

Michael A. Frascatore, Jr. age 68, beloved husband of Gail Eckert Frascatore, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022, at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on July 2, 1953, he was a son of the late Michael A. Frascatore, Sr. and Mary (Raucci) Frascatore and was a longtime resident of Shelton.

Michael began his career at Frascatore Cadillac-Oldsmobile working beside his father Mickey and brother Poochie. It was there where he discovered his love of cars while dabbling a little in racing. He eventually took his salesman skills to the real estate business becoming owner/operator of Coldwell Banker/Frascatore Realty--teaching classes, serving on boards and earning multiple awards for his achievements.

Michael had a big heart. He always had the right guy, the right tool or a great story to tell. He would help anyone who asked and welcomed you into his home no matter who you were or where you came from. He loved spending time by the water whether it was at the family cottage in Lordship sailing or skiing or at the lake house at Candlewood taking his family and friends on the boat. He passed on his strong work ethic, devotion to family and gift of gab to his three sons who will be lost without him. The lights of his life where truly his five grandsons who will forever remember him for his fun adventures and constant presence.

Michael will be missed by so many but no one more than is best friend and wife Gail who met when they were just 15 years old at a St. Theresa's CYO dance and have been inseparable ever since.

In addition to his beloved wife Gail of 47 years, he is survived by his loving sons, Michael Frascatore-III, William Frascatore (Julie) and Jonathan Frascatore (Cassandra), three sisters, Nancy Devito (Sal), Loretta Piccirillo and Mary Frascatore, brother-in-laws, Bill Eckert (Linda), Allen Eckert, Linda Roberts (Charles) and five cherished grandsons, Michael, Hunter, Mason, Wyatt and Silas as well as and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his aunts, Marietta and Edith Frascatore, a brother, Ralph Frascatore and his wife Estelle, his mother-in-law and father-in-law Laurette and William R. Eckert, Sr.

A walk-through visitation will take place on Friday, January 14, 2022 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, CT 06611. Burial is private. Visitors are asked to wear masks and social distance as they walk through, pay their respects, and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through the building.
