Obituary of Joseph E. Krisak

Joseph E. Krisak, age 96 of Trumbull, beloved husband of Mildred Ruzicka Krisak, died peacefully on September 6, 2008 at his home. Born on January 18, 1912, he was the son of the late Victoria and Paul Krisak and dear friend and partner of the late Herbert and Lucy Mae Heath.

Joe began his career in 1928 as an apprentice at the H.G. Heath Company where he later became a principal partner and expanded the company and developed the Heath Hardware and Supply Company and the Cider Mill Shopping Center. Joe was a licensed plumber, electrician and real estate broker. He was an enthusiastic salt water fisherman and gardener and enjoyed restoring antiques and historic properties. In his early years he built and drove midget race cars and later became an avid racing fan. Known for his generosity, honesty and exactness, Joe was truly a man of his word.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sister, Mary Matthews of Milo, Maine and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Andrew J. Krisak, Paul Krisak, Dorothy Rodak and Jean Zitnay. 

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday September 9, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may call on Monday from 4-8 p.m.
