Obituary of Gloria Rita Urbano

Gloria R. Urbano, 85, departed this life in the comfort of her home in Franklinton, NC on December 5, 2021. Born in Bridgeport, Gloria resided in Connecticut for over 65 years and upon retirement, relocated to North Carolina. Gloria had 26 years of dedicated service to the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut. She began as a Docket Clerk continuing on as Legal Secretary to the late Honorable T. F. Gilroy Daly, and concluding her career as Legal Secretary to the Honorable William I. Garfinkel.

Gloria's life was filled with love and care for her family and friends and being able to share as much time with them as possible. Her enjoyment of life brought vibrancy to everyone she touched. Gloria leaves behind a spirit that will continue to live within all of those that were a part of her life.

Gloria is survived by her partner, Harry Devlin, two daughters, Natalie Rittlinger and husband, David of Wake Forest, NC, Cathleen Poulsen and husband, Kevin of Chesterfield, VA, brother, Vincent Nuccitelli of Lehi, UT; brother-in-law, Richard Case of Milford; two grandchildren, Amy Fett and husband, Michael of Grand Haven, MI; Kyle Poulsen and wife, Jessica Eldridge of Pearland, TX, and four great grandchildren, Vincent, Domenick and Philomena Fett and Cash Poulsen, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins residing in all areas of the country. Gloria is predeceased by her husband, Ralph Urbano, her parents, Victor and Florence Nuccitelli, and sisters, Jacqueline Case and Geraldine Nuccitelli.

A walk-through visitation will take place on Thursday, January 13, 2022 from 4-7 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Masks and social distancing are required. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 11:15 a.m. on Friday, January 14, 2022 for an Interment Service in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford.
