Obituary of Nathan Manning Record

Nathan Manning Record, age 11, of Trumbull, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 1, 2022 at Yale New Haven Children's Hospital. He is the beloved son of Daniel and Jennifer (LaCroix) Record. He was born on April 13, 2010 in New Haven.

Nathan was born with congenital heart disease, and while he is a "heart hero" to many people, he much preferred being known for his strength, energy, loyalty, enthusiasm, and positive outlook on life.

Nathan was a happy, compassionate, funny, faith filled child who loved his family and friends unconditionally and who loved learning in many ways. He was happiest when helping to plan a family road trip, quizzing people on sports and presidential trivia, and being a dare-devil on roller coasters and other wild rides. Nathan enjoyed being competitive with friends and family, especially when playing golf or basketball, rooting hard for the NY Giants and Boston Red Sox, and being involved with his school community.

Nathan always saw the good in people and wanted to help others in his community. He loved being at Heart Camp, his favorite place, each summer with other "heart hero kids" trying new adventures and living his "best life".

In addition to his loving parents, Nathan is survived by his sister, Charlotte Record, who was his favorite travel companion, worthiest competitor, trusted confidant, and biggest supporter. She cherishes every moment with him and is grateful for the memories they share.

Nathan is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Caroline LaCroix and his paternal grandparents, Dan and Carolyn Record, his maternal aunt Patricia LaCroix Nihill, his maternal uncle Joseph LaCroix and his wife Patricia, his paternal aunt Kristen Record, his godparents Donald and Erin Telesca, as well as many cousins, extended family, and dear friends.

A walk-through visitation will take place on Friday, January 7, 2022 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, CT 06611. A Catholic mass will take place at Christ the King Church, 4700 Madison Avenue in Trumbull, at 10am on Saturday, January 8, 2022 followed by a burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Trumbull.

Visitors are asked to social distance as they walk through, pay their respects, and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through the building.
