Obituary of RoseMarie LaDela
RoseMarie LaDela, age 87 of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Daniel LaDela passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 28, 2021. Born in Stamford on May 24, 1934 she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Raffaela Costanzo Telesco and was a longtime resident of Stamford before moving to Bridgeport.
Before her retirement, RoseMarie worked as a tax administrator at Dun & Bradstreet for over 30 years and as a special police officer at the Stamford Museum and Nature Center for over 36 years.
A truly dedicated woman, she volunteered with 50 years of service to the AARP chapter 831, she was a member of the Columbiettes, The Red Hat Society, The Ladies Auxiliary of Foreign Wars, Auxiliary 399, The Bridgeport Community Historical Society and the St. Margaret Shrine Alter Guild, where she ran the senior bingo program for many years. But as busy as she was, she was always there for her family and she cherished spending her time with them most of all.
She is survived by a son, Saverio LaDela and his wife Christine, her grandchildren, Theresa Ray-LaDela and L J Ladela, her brothers Donato Telesco and his wife Anita, Samuel Telesco and his wife Teresa and a brother-in-law, Floyd Johnson as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Peter Telesco and a sister, Beverly Johnson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 7, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. directly in St. Margaret Shrine, 2523 Park Ave., Bridgeport. Masks must be worn. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be private. Arrangements entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, Trumbull.
