Obituary of Charles Kressu

Beloved Husband Charles Kressu, age 83, of Shelton, beloved husband of Barbara Shannon Kressu, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2012 at St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on November 29, 1928, he was a son of the late Constantine and Maria Dumitrescu Kressu. A U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Kressu was a retired employee of Sikorsky Aircraft with 37 years of service and was an avid sportsman. In addition to his wife Barbara of 55 years, survivors include a brother, Paul Kressu of Bridgeport, two sisters, Cleopatra Rinko and Cornelia Talabac, both of Florida. He also leaves to cherish his memory many brothers and sisters-in-law, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by two brothers, Vasil and George Kressu and two sisters, Alice Janello and Elizabeth Lambro. Funeral Information Funeral Services will take place on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. meeting directly in St. Dimitrie Romanian Orthodox Church, 504 Sport Hill Rd., Easton. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery of Easton. Family and friends may call on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. A Trisiagion Service will be held at 6 p.m. in the funeral home.
